Boston Guitar Project was the brainchild of the American guitar virtuoso, Eliot Fisk. BGP was founded in 2005
by a group of students at New England Conservatory of Music who sought to share their love of guitar music.
Since its founding, BGP has appeared before audiences from all ends of the spectrum throughout Greater Boston. Today, BGP serves the community through its Concert Series and its Outreach Project.
The Boston Guitar Project concert series presents young guitarists from all over the world, featuring
eclectic programs and styles ranging from classical to jazz and from Latin to flamenco. The concerts take place in relaxed and intimate settings, and there is
always time afterwards to speak to the artist.
Each season promises to be an exciting blend of
the worlds of the guitar.
The outreach projects have taken BGP to nursing
facilities, hospitals, homes for the blind, community
churches, local libraries, schools, and other public
venues. In addition, BGP has contributed to many
fund raising activites throughout Boston, thus
increasing BGP’s role as a vehicle for public service. Through outreach, BGP continues to spread the
love of guitar music to new audiences of varying age
groups. BGP Outreach is made possible by tireless
commitments from its artists who selflessly volunteer
their time and talent to serve a greater cause.
